Great location. When I arrived at 9:30 pm, my room was given away. Despite the initial hiccup, the staff quickly found me another room for the night. the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Overall I'd suggest this hotel.

We booked the two bedroom apartment number 5 and were very happy.We were provided with the car parking, full kitchen supplies and amenities. The apartment is spacious and very bright because of the nature light (many glass holes in the rooftop) The receptionist - John is very friendly and helpful! I forgot the USB flash drive and he replied via e mail that he will post it to me (Sydney).

I t was private and manager was friendly. The room was clean and breakfast was good as you can help yourself. Very reasonably priced.
We had difficulty getting access to the office even though we arrived within the time limit.

very pleasant appearance, well kept, very clean, easy to find bed quite comfortable, all over we were very impressed with every thing. shower was fabulous, didn't have time for tv. but it was nicely appointed. heating was on when we came in late, and very efficient system.
very picky but kitchen cutlery draw needs a wipe out or new one. deal included breakfast but no instructions in unit as to how to get this deal???? as we checked in very late office was closed and key left in unit as given so no way of finding out by talking to anyone. manager needs to leave note in travel info package.

the location....Apollo Bay is amazing
as i work in housekeeping in a 4 star hotel i found the backpackers lodge to be lacking profoundly on the cleanliness of my room...as i walked on floors i stuck to them....hair on spare pillows in wardrobe....no guest towels in room....i found the manager to be arrogant.....guests should always be treated with respect.....i would not reccomend staying here to anyone

The location - it is handy to the CBD
The room that we were staying in needs a bit of done up. The kitchen is dirty - juice and sauce beside the rubbish bin and in the cupboard, which we have to clean up ourselves and nuts and crumb in the drawer - yuck! The information sheet in the room is out of date and filthy. It wasn't a pleasant stay for us at all.

We enjoyed the one bed room apartment and its facilities. Location was easy to find and close to beach, and grocery store which was lovely.
Poor customer service from the word go. We were given attitude when we arrived at 7pm, telling us that we were late when the check in times clearly state between 1430-2030. Very rude when we mistakenly thought check out was at 1030am and we were told to "Hurry up and get out". Then we were rudely accused of smoking in the room which was not the case. Before all this, I was considering becoming a return customer as I live and work in Melbourne - very disappointed.
